What's the difference between the Small Group Course and the One-on-One Course?
Both courses teach the same Profit First principles, frameworks, and content.
The Small Group Course is limited to a maximum of 10 participants per course and live Zoom lesson.
The One-on-One Course is for a business that may have multiple owners and/or would prefer to privately discuss their specific situation, while learning the Profit First methodology.
Do I have to share my financials to do this course?
No, definitely not. This course teaches you the principles and frameworks for you to implement within your own business, using your own financials.
I might struggle with implementing this methodology, is there extra help available should I need it?
Extra support via email and in our Facebook Group is available throughout the course. Should you want personalised assistance, additional support is available upon request (POA).
Can Profit First be used for a business that's already profitable, but wants to further improve their profitability and cash flow management?
Yes, the Profit First methodology and structure is tailored to each business and allocations are calculated based on the businesses size, structure and turnover. Profit First suits both large and small businesses, as well as businesses that have multiple sites.
My business is brand new. When should I implement Profit First?
Immediately. In fact, the sooner you start with Profit First the sooner you'll master your financials and help your business run more efficiently. No matter how new your business is, you shouldn't wait to implement Profit First.
Can I implement the Profit First system before my business is profitable?
Yes, it's always better to start right away. By implementing the system, you'll immediately establish ongoing profitability (instead of waiting for it to happen). Perhaps just start at a low percentage.. maybe 1% profitability, but start NOW!
Where can I find a bank in my area that supports Profit First?
Generally regional banks, community banks and credit unions are the best. Most of them don't charge a minimum balance fee for your accounts and also allow you to have an unlimited number of accounts, without cost. I want to pay as few taxes as possible. Shouldn’t I run up expenses to cut taxes?
That's one of the most damaging myths of money management. Running up expenses to reduce taxes is the same as spending ten dollars to save three - it's a very poor business practice. The goal is to run the business as profitably as possible (that's the only way to achieve financial freedom), and you should work closely with a Profit First Professional to understand additional ways to reduce your tax liabilities, as much as you can.
My business has debt. I can’t be profitable until I pay off all my debt.
Wrong. In fact, the only way to pay off debt (which is simply past expenses that you haven’t yet paid for) is to be profitable. You must currently make more than you're currently spending, so you generate current profit. Then you use those profits to pay off your debt (past expenses).
Can I use Profit First to identify a good business to buy?
Yes! By doing a Profit First Instant Assessment on them - it shows what needs to be “corrected” in the numbers. If there's less correction, that = a better buy.
